Setting Up Imports PDF Print E-mail

Materials

In this step, we'll be adding your products to the FeedPerfect system. This is used to upload your product information to the feeds. You should have the follow information:

  • Store Type - This lets FeedPerfect know they type of store it is looking for.

  • Updating Behaviors - A basic understanding of how you'd like your products updated.

 

Process

  1. From the Channel Settings screen, Click Catalog.

  2. The Catalog Enhancement menu will be displayed.

  3. Click Import.

  4. This will take you to the Import menu.

  5. Click Add to add your products.

  6. This will bring up the Data Source Setting dialog.

  7. In the Name text box, name the file.

  8. This is used to organize your data. Use any distinct name you like.

    Note: Your store name may be used here.

  9. In the Type drop down menu, choose the store your use.

  10. If you select "Yahoo! Store" , the Yahoo! Source drop down menu will also appear. Choose the source you'd like to use (objinfo.xml or catalog.xml).

  11. Note: You may use both sources, however you�ll need to complete this step twice; one for each source.

  12. In the Products drop down menu, select either Add/Remove or Update.

  13. If you choose Add/Remove, all old data in FeedPerfect will be discarded and replaced with the new data from your store. If you choose Update, all existing data will be updated. New records will not be added, and products that have been deleted from your store will not be removed from Feed Perfect.

    Note: The recommended setting is Add/Remove.

  14. In the Fields drop down menu, choose Replace or Update If Empty.

  15. This is only used if you choose Update for the Products setting. Replace will update all information, and Update If Empty, will only update the information if the field is blank.

  16. Click Save to save changes.

  17. The Import Page will be updated.
