Running this wizard will take about 15 minutes, and you should have the following materials completed ahead of time. 1. Products must be imported into FeedPerfect. 2. External channels must be setup.
The Welcome screen will be displayed. From the drop down menu, select the feed you'd like to activate. Click Continue.
On the General Settings step, you need to set your Default Category, Default CPC, and the Long Values Option. Once this is set, click Continue.
You'll then be prompted for the FTP information for your feed. You can find this information in the channel's merchant console settings. Also, you'll need to schedule your uploads. You can choose from Manually, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly. Once all of this information is entered, click Continue.
Next, you'll need to map the FeedPerfect properties to the fields in the channels' database. To map the field, click the edit button. Choose a primary and secondary field, and include a default value. (The default value will be used if both the primary and secondary fields are blank.) Click Ok. When you have all of the mappings completed, click Continue. Note: The Auto Assign is a great place to start. However, to ensure your products perform well in the feed, it's a good idea to map the optional fields as well.
The Product Inclusion/Exclusion step allows you say which products will be submitted to the channel. Select Yes if you want all products to qualify for the feed, or click No if you'd like to restrict some.
Clicking No allows you to search from specific products on the system. From the search results you can choose to include or exclude then click Continue to perform the action. Note: This is not the last time you have to exclude products. In the next step you can choose to repeat this step to exclude more products. Also, after the wizard is completed there are tools in FeedPerfect that will allow you to exclude products later.
If you need to find additional products to exclude select yes. Otherwise select no, and move on to the next step. Once you've selected either yes or no, click Continue.
The next step is categorizing your products. You can choose to put all of your products under the default category, or you can separate some into their own category. To put all products into the default category select, "All of your products belong to the default category." Otherwise, select "Some of your products belong to the default category." Finally click Continue.
If you select "Some of your products" you'll need to search for the products that do NOT fall under the default category. Select those products, select a new category for those products, and then click Continue. Note: This is not the last time you have to categorize your products. In the next step you can choose to repeat this step to exclude more products. Also, after the wizard is completed there are tools in FeedPerfect that will allow you to categorize products later.
If you need to categorize additional product select yes. Otherwise select no, and move on the next step. Once you've selected either yes or no, click Continue.
After you categorize the products, you'll need to set the cost per click (CPC). By default all of your products will belong to the default CPC. If you have other products that should fall under another CPC, select the products and enter a new CPC value. Then click Continue. Note: This is not the last time you have to set a CPC value for your products. In the next step you can choose to repeat this step. Also, after the wizard is completed there are tools in FeedPerfect that will allow you to set the CPC later.
If you need to set a CPC for additional product select yes. Otherwise select no, and move on the next step. Once you've selected either yes or no, click Continue.
The next step is validating the feed. You want to make sure all products are uploaded correctly so they all submit to the feed. Once the validation runs, if you have any errors you'll need to fix them, if you do not correct them, they will be excluded from the channel during publishing. You can choose to correct your settings or mapping or also exclude the products with errors completely from the upload.
Once you fix your errors, click Continue.
The publishing step allows you to push your products out to the feed. If you would like to publish your products now, select yes. Otherwise select no, and your products will submit according to your schedule. Click Continue to complete the wizard.
The last step allows you to rerun the wizard to setup the feed for another channel. If you want to rerun the wizard click Yes, otherwise click No or Finish.
